When it first came out, I was curious why in the world yet another shot in the arm was being considered .
We all were made to believe that the Pfizer and Moderna two shots were the best option. Yet that belief was rattled for many when yet a third shot was discussed. Could the Delta Variant or the idea of a really bad strain of COVID be the reason why they were even discussing a booster shot?
WebMD lists the already needed booster shots for other diseases, so having a COVID booster shot is not something out of thin air (neither is this mandate by the way , remember as kids we were MANDATED to get our shots?) https://www.webmd.com/vaccines/vaccine-booster-shots)
There was a lot of talk about this as shots one and two were being administered, but why did the booster shot discussion disappear? It felt that the two shot approach was working! Yet here we are talking about how the vaccinated can still carry this virus . Here we are a year later with mask mandates on the table. Here we are a year later with the threat of lockdown once again hung over our heads. The booster shot could lead the way in eradicating all these measures!
I’m not a scientist , but i am following the data . Pfizer has released booster shot trials for different areas across the US, which you can find HERE (https://www.pfizer.com/science/find-a-trial/search/covid-19%20booster) What I had seen in a trial is a 100% anti-body strength one month after the booster dose was admitted. In further research there are a few countries that have now started adapting to the COVID third vaccine dose . Israel is administering the third dose (https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.timesofisrael.com/israel-begins-administering-3rd-covid-vaccine-dose-to-the-elderly/amp/) . I also saw that over 50 and those with high risks will be given a third dose in England.
Why doesn’t the CDC quit with mask mandates and trust the science of the COVID booster shot? Why not go that route instead of fear-mongering if so far Pfizer is showing success against the Delta Variant. To the US government: God has many hands working on these vaccines and optimizing the data you so love to shut us down with. Consider adapting to giving us this booster shot and stop continually putting us in fear daily, we cannot survive as a country in this frenzied state and the data shows it! Let’s adapt!
